Lizzy the neighbourhood hero!

I am busy at work on the annual report to donors for the IWK again this year. I meet the most inspiring people when I do. Liz Hutchinson is one of them.
Lizzy is well known in her community for her generosity and welcoming nature. She lives in West End Halifax and takes care of eleven children during lunch and after school. She went through chemotherapy and a bilateral mastectomy and missed only two days of work. (I've missed more for a head cold) The smile that is always present on her face tells more about her spririt than any words ever could.
Here Liz is shown with her husband, Jim, and two of her after school kids Mackenzie and Xavier. Xavier's face was sweet enough to eat! Both of these kids were adorable!

This place has great food and it's healthier than a lot of alternatives. Give it a try in Clayton Park.

Bust a Move
No words needed. The images speak for themselves. However, I do want to say that it was an honor and a pleasure to spend the day in a room full of so many amazing people all there for an amazing cause.
