The 2010 calendar launch was held Friday morning at the Goldbloom Pavillion at the IWK. It was such a special day for me, it's hard to pick just a few images or moments to share.
My friends and family were on hand to help me get this new project off the ground. As were sponsors, IWK staff, and families of children in the calendar. Paul Miller of RBC was there to let everyone know the calendar will be available in every branch in the Maritimes! How cool is that?
Cover girl, Addison LaForest and her parents were in town from Fredericton to share their experience at the IWK. Very moving.
I know this is a professional forum but I want to take a moment to thank the people who have inspired me the most. Glen, for all the hours spent listening to me talk about this calendar and agonize over the details; and for getting me those last minute sponsors. Saved my butt.
My beautiful Katie, for always being available to look at one more image and give her opinion. Katie has the keenest eye of any 14 year old I have ever met. She also sold a ton of calendars at the event.
Sean, you wowed me yet again. My son stormed the mike and made a speech that brought a tear to many eyes and made me do the ugly cry. Up unitl that point I had kept my composure fairly well.
I feel blessed beyond words at the richness of my life.
