A breath of fresh air

This time of year I do a lot of commercial work. I enjoy it and find it very rewarding but I miss the family and baby work that the holiday season brings. So last week when Audrey and Robert came by for photos it was like a breath of fresh air. So much fun!

Sunday Brunch

Katie and Kyle were married on a beautiful Sunday morning and had a wonderful brunch reception at the Lord Nelson. It was a real treat to work with you both. Congratulations!

Crystal Crescent after dark?

I made an appointment to meet up with Katie and Kyle at Crystal Cres. beach at 8:00 pm. Some of you may know that the park closes at 8:00. I did, but forgot, so had to be quick on my feet when we arrived to the park warden locking the gates. Frazzled but determined not to let this wonderful couple down, we headed to Herring Cove and then on to my back yard on the way home. In spite of the last minute changes we captured some really great images.

Babies always make me smile

Recently, I've been very busy and focused on getting the new location up and running. So much thought and time and expense have gone into this Spring Garden Road venture, that I forget how much fun photography is; how much fun life should be. Until baby Eva came to see me last week. I walked into the studio feeling frazzled and over worked. Then, I took Eva into my arms and the whole world stopped for just a moment. All that mattered was that she was there and my job was to capture her new born sweetness. Thank you, Eva for making me take the time to relax and breath in the smells of a new born.

There's no doubt Jessica has style. I was wowed by the dress and those heels. I was even more impressed by how sweet and genuine she is. Her and Travis were such a pleasure to get to know and work with. I wish them both only the very best in their married life together.

To celebrate his first birthday, and to launch my new location, Owen came in to the studio for a few photos. We had a blast; happy birthday big guy!

Children's Wish Mother's Day Tea

Well, Sean, Katie and I spent the day volunteering at the Mother's Day Tea again this year. Sean dressed up as pirate, Katie as a princess, and I as a photographer. The event was sold out with 800 tickets purchased, impressive! The kids were adorable and the day was so much fun.

Meghan Laing

Meghan is not only one of the most successful real estate agents in the city, she is also one of the most fun! Lucky for me, as her photographer, she is also stunning in front of the camera.

Audrey

Audrey is growing up so fast! It seems like yesterday I was doing her Mom's maternity photos. We did baby photos that are featured in the IWK calendar and then her first birthday in the spring. Now she is talking a blue streak and looking like a little girl. Baby Audrey is no more but the little princess who took her place is adorable!

Merry (early) Christmas

Every year these two boys come for Christmas photos. We always get an adorable shot and make the best Christmas cards ever! Mom tells me that friends and family leave the cards on display all year long. With boys this cute it's no wonder.
