Kayleigh

Some of you know I have had a crazy week. Work has been extra busy lately and on Monday I had a good chunk of my gear stolen from my car. The worst part was my insurance wouldn't cover the loss.
This evening I went to the studio to photograph Kayleigh for the Children's Wish Foundation. Kayleigh is four and just recovering from cancer. She is bright and engaging and made me laugh till my belly hurt.
When I got home tonight a friend wanted to know what I was going to do about my stolen gear. I said "I just photographed a four year with cancer; I'm going to put it in perspective."
I have so much to be thankful for, I write this with tears in my eyes. Thank you Kayleigh for bringing me back to reality.

Simon says...

I haven't seen Sarah in such a long time. I used to really enjoy doing weddings with her when she still worked as a planner. Now she is happily married, teaching french immersion, living in the valley and has a beautiful little boy named Simon. She and Simon came to have some photos done on Saturday and brought Dad along for the ride. This is a wonderful family that I truly enjoyed spending the morning with. Sarah, I hope you enjoyed your time at Fred. You deserved it!

Handsome Silas

Mesha got a gift certificate from my friend Deb because "Sue is going to love this little guy!"

Well, Deb was right, Sue fell for Silas. Those big brown eyes, those cheeks, those cheeks... both sets! I could serve him up for Thanksgiving next week.

A visit from Austin

Little Austin came to visit me yesterday. He looked so cute in his Osh Gosh hoodie I couldn't resist sneaking him into the studio for a few quick shots. What a doll!

At the Laing House

I recently went to the new Laing household to photograph Noah, Fisher, Lily and the newest addition Rosie. The kids are gorgeous and the dog is adorable. It was an easy day for me.
