I had the pleasure of spending the day at CTV shooting basketball players. They all looked fierce but they were sweethearts in person. Thanks everyone for a great day.

Old style charm in an enchanted forest
Emily had a great retro vibe for her wedding day. I think she may rock that vibe everyday. Her and Damian had a great look and a beautiful wedding a few weeks ago. Thanks guys for the opportunity to reconnect with your family.

Another family milestone!
Katie is officially done with middle school and is now off to high school. Last night she looked beautiful for her grade nine prom thanks to the talented and lovely Laura Bleasdale. Thanks for the hair and makeup, Laura, and for being such a pleasure to have over for the afternoon.

Hayley is back!
Hayley ready to go for The Princess Tea Party
Promo photos for Children's Wish
Hayley and her family today

I meet a lot of sick children in my work with the IWK hospital and Children's Wish Foundation. I never ask about their illness; I don't want to know. Instead, I ask about their friends at school and their favorite books, their siblings and their toys.
I first met Hayley a few years ago when she was quite sick. Children's Wish was raising money to send her and her family to Disney.
Hayley's Mom stayed in touch, and contacted me recently with a request. Hayley's parents were separating and Mary wanted new photos of her and the three kids to start their new life together.
Sometimes, I am blessed to take photographs in beautiful venues, exotic places, with gorgeous people. Those photographs are often visually stunning. Then sometimes, I get to take everyday photos of everyday people who are extraordinary.
That's what I did yesterday. I hope these simple images of these beautiful children help to heal Mary's heart and serve as a new family heritage for Hayley and her siblings.

Jennifer & Dwayne

Saturday was cold. I mean freeze your a#@ off, mind numbing cold. So what do I do? Go for an engagement shoot at York Redoubt. High up on a hill, unprotected at the waters edge. Winds whipping, noses dripping, fingers and cameras refusing to work. Thank God for Jenn and Dwayne. They not only braved the cold, they conquered it!
