What a difference a day makes.

What a difference a day makes. The wedding I shot on September 4th was a hurricane. Rain coming down sideways, winds howling, power down. Fast forward to Sunday the 5th, and the sun was out and the weather was beautiful. So was the bride! Amy you were glowing on your wedding day. Congratulations to you and Corey.

Oh, Earl...

Hurricane Earl was an event for all of us here in Nova Scotia. For the few brave souls that planned a wedding for that day, it was spectacular. Ashley and Jeff, were not just brave they were graceful and fun and never once lost sight of what the day was about. It wasn't a hurricane day or a gorgeous gown day or stunning reception day, it was a day about love.
I not only really like this couple, I respect them a great deal, as well.
Oh, and Avril Mulholland did an incredible job of transforming the Westin into a candle lit wonderland. Some of the best decor I have ever seen. So, hurricane or no, one of the best weddings of the year! Thanks guys.

One word... stunning!

Okay, how often do you get a bride this beautiful and sweet, on a day this perfect, on the tall ship Silva, sailing down the Northwest Arm, AND I get paid to be there! Jillian and Ashley were one really good looking couple but they were also fun and lovely and Scott and I had a lot of fun hanging out with their families on the Silva last Friday the 13th. Nothing unlikely about this wedding!

We like Mikey.

Children often steal the show at any photo shoot; but a dog? Mikey was so cute and well behaved that he was the star during a recent shoot at Point Pleasant Park.

A tale of two Jamies

I am shooting a wedding this Saturday where both the bride and groom are named Jamie. I figured that would be the most noteworthy detail of this particular wedding. That is until I met them on Monday to shoot their engagement photos. This is a dream couple! Smart, (girl Jamie just finished law school), funny, and just plain gorgeous. And the chemistry between them is electric! I am really excited continue the photographic journey this weekend. ps. Did I mention they were from Calgary? Hence the cowboy boots on the beach
