I moved into the penthouse (aka 3rd floor) of Mills over a year ago. At the time the building was in full blown reno mode, a real mess. I'm sure some of my friends and clients thought I had lost my mind but I had vision. At least enough vision to know that Mickey MacDonald knows how to bring a project to a seccussful conclusion.
Fast forward a year and The Shops of Mills, as we are collectively known, is hosting a VIP evening for Atlantic Fashion Week this Thursday. I invite all of you to check out this exciting event. Some of the great stores and services now housed here include Mills, Twisted Muise, Sparrow Shoes, Casa Dante, Ten, House of Moda, Gentle Touch and Judith and Charles.Tuesday, June 14, 2011

One amazing lady!
Laura Melanson of Red Balloon Relations asked me to participate in a book for Brigadoon and my first reaction was I'm too busy. But I like Laura too much to have said no.
Then I found out that some of my finest peers are also working on this project and I started to get excited.
Next we had a meeting with Colette O'Hara who totally inspired me and made me see the vision for the book and the meaning of the camp.
Add Marjorie Lindsay, my first assignment, and things really kicked into high gear, This women was so wonderful I could have spent all day talking to her. She is everything I want to be at her age, at any age, really. Warm, vibrant, funny, and so great to photograph.
Now I am so looking forward to my next Brigadoon assignment. I hope they can live up to Marjorie!

5.4 million thank you's
There are few things that give me greater joy than spending time at the IWK Children's Hospital. Being there for Telethon is one of the highlights of my year. It was nice to see everyone and an honor to be able to capture the excitment.

Sweet Frankie
I love when old clients refer me to new clients. It tells me I am doing something right and photography, as much as any industry, is built on referrals. I particularly love when the new clients are as sweet as Amanda and Rob and have a child as adorable as Frankie.
Sisters, big brothers and new babies.
I have been so busy lately that I have not been updating the blog as much as I would like. Today I will remedy that with not one but two entries. The first is for Lisa, she is expecting her second child and if her first is any indication, number two will be a charmer! Her sister also came for a visit so we had plenty of reasons for a photo shoot.

Beautiful girls
I went to Toronto last weekend to visit a dear friend and photograph her new baby girl. Her 4 year old is gorgeous so I was expecting great things from the new one. They did not disappoint; this is one good looking family. I got in plenty of baby cuddles, and maybe a glass of wine or two with Donna while I was there; life is good.

Image is everything, especially in business!
At Siri Photography we have put together the ultimate package for corporate headshots. You begin at Casa Dante, which will be soon be relocated to the second floor of Mills. There a stylist will create a fabulous do. Then on to the makeup counter at Mills where you will receive a perfectly polished face made up specifically for business photography. These girls are amazing!

Seriously happy children
Alex and Judy have not just handsome boys, they have three very happy little guys. Their smiles light up the room and warm my heart.
